A Journey Through Time: College Highlights

TCC’s History

  • Rev. Kaka P.S.Tolani’s dream of making Adipur an “educational hub” was partially fulfilled when, he, as the founder President of the GCB launched the TCC at Adipur in 1973 with an aim to spread the light of higher education in the commerce discipline.
  • That day, while delivering his inaugural speech, Kaka had stated that his intention was not to emphasized on the number of mushrooming intuitions, but to provide the opportunities to aspiring students to pursue their academic career in the commerce discipline and to convert Adipur town as an ideal source of higher education in future.
  • Kaka’s dreams did not end by him alone. His philanthropic attitude is reflected in his children and kaka’s daughter, Ms. Jamvanti Kanal had taken this responsibility on her shoulder after his death. Later on after her sad demise, kaka’s youngest daughter Mrs. Anjana Hajare has become the torch bearer and presently she is the president of GCB trust.
Institutional Growth
  • The TCC which was established in the year 1973, with a meager enrollment of 150 students, continued to increase its strength year by year. Today the TCC is the most thickly populated college in the region, accommodating around 2500 students in the campus. The TCC offers graduation (1973) and post graduation (1988) courses with Accountancy and Auditing as the principle subject.
  • In addition to this, it also offers four subsidiary subjects such as Secretarial Practice, Advanced Business Management, Advanced Statistics and Computer Science. As the college is affiliated to the KSKV Kachchh University, Bhuj, as per their instruction it has introduced the Semester System and Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) as per the UGC guidelines at the P.G level w.e.f. 2009 and same system is also implemented at the undergraduate level w.e.f. this current academic year.
  • In order to encourage the young, meritorious and aspiring CAs, ICWAs and CSs, TCC has started professional coaching centre for CA, ICWA and CS examinations. Further i n order to provide dual advantage to the students, The TCC has also started offering UGC sponsored Career Oriented Courses (COC) in Foreign Trade, Tally and Secretarial Practice from the year 2005.
  • In order to encourage and support the adult learners of the society, TCC has included IGNOU and BAOU extension centers at the institution. Thus the tender sapling which was planted in 1973, flourished to a greater extent by the dedicated, promising and efficient leadership of the founder principal Smt. C.M. Jaisinghani, who had made her constant efforts to convert it into a huge and gigantic tree and has become a trend setter for up
    coming generations.
