Higher education’s definition of institutional excellence is the culmination of the best practises applied to many aspects of institutional performance. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) promotes the use of benchmarking for best practises to improve the quality of higher education. The use of best practises as benchmarks aids institutions in identifying their launching point for growth.
